Fentuary 4th

-Nabor wanted my help today.
She wanted assistance filing her notes and organizing her essays. She uses the same system that Palkeera uses, finding it to be the most efficient manner, but could not get Palkeera to help her. Or, rather, she uses her own variation on Palkeera’s method. Her office was a mess of stacked papers, all organized in a way that makes sense to her. Unfortunately, she is the only one it makes sense for. Her subordinates have finally complained enough for her to initiate her biannual office cleaning.
Palkeera had a meeting with a consul, so Nabor took me instead.

I hate going into the Asylum. No noises in my daily life can compare to the sounds I hear there, no wail of such madness or grief can be heard so openly in the city. So many of these people are very unwell, but Nabor thinks that she can help them.
The air is cool in the Asylum. The deeper you go, the more the ground above us keeps the heat at bay.

Her office was a complete disaster. There were scrolls and books stacked on every surface, some of which had fallen down and simply had not been been picked back up again.
She seemed to know where everything was in the mess, but I found the room to be intimidating.

Using the abacus provided, I took careful measure as she dictated, her own hands occupied with thick tomes and loose papers. I read back to her the total costs, the number of visitors, anything she requested of me to tally.
It did not take as long as I thought it would. Nabor knew what she wanted done and how she wanted it completed.
Even down in her office I could still hear some of the admitted in the other wings.

It was the howling of one patient that unnerved me the most. Nabor sensed my unease and informed me that it was a vampyre brought here for suffering hallucinations and therefore exhibiting inappropriate behaviour both in the eyes of the public and the eyes of our Lord. She was treating her with prayers and incense. Nabor also thinks the the hallucinations may be caused by a drug the vampyre was using, though the vampyre will not disclose any words on the matter.

As if a thought was caught by a thread, she had stopped mid sentence. She took a quill from her newly cleared desk and started writing in a file.
She seemed to forgot that I was there. It must have been nearly an hour later when she finally stopped writing. When she looked up again, she was momentarily startled by my presence. It was a little amusing to see the imperturbable Nabor jump like that.

Once everything was sorted, it took very little time to place the files in their proper places.  The box for patients coming in goes beside the one for patients going out.
Nabor sent me back to the Temple when one of the patients broke loose, a large Chthonian responsible for raising up a cult just to eat all of the human worshippers that belonged to it.

The best part about helping Nabor today was that I did not have to go to military training. It is currently a different General overseeing the camp since Zamorak has gone away, but I still dread it.
This line has been sitting in my note files for some time now. I was already working on it, and then I heard about the possibility of 'Broken Minds'. I'm excited, you guys~

:>-NOTE-<: The lorefails. There WILL be lorefails in this series. Please remember that this is a fanfiction and touches on many subjects either very loosely mentioned or not mentioned at all in the game. Assumptions will be made.
