Pentember 19th - 40th entry (Day Before)

Pentember 19th

          -Azzanadra returned today. He was leading the cavalcade from the new territory as they rode through the city gates. There were horses, and wagons, and armored guards carrying colorful banners.
         Near the center of the activity was carried a lectica, but the curtains were drawn and I could not see who was being carried, though I figure it to be the leader of the new territory.
There were people coming out of house and shops to look at the arrivals, clearing the streets in a way that made it look like a parade.
        Palkeera pulled me off the balcony to inform me that all my classes for tomorrow were cancelled, as I would be attending the feast with her and the other Pontifices in the afternoon.
She also told me not to bother the guests, to not go looking for them.
Then she went to take Curaw away from Azzanadra and to the stables.

     Chunchi and Vike were as excited as I was when I went to see them. The rest of the classes for the day had been cancelled due to a general lack of interest by both teachers and students.
        As a result , teachers spent much of the day keeping students from standing around in the halls. Most of them were herded into the library.
      I went to Palkeera’s office to practice my lute. I ended up giving up after some time as the cheering outside became disruptive to my art. I painted instead. Then Enakhra’s cat came in and knocked a bottle of ink over across Palkeera’s desk.

    I am writing this post before I get into bed. Palkeera wants me rested for tomorrow. She says that I must get up early.
