-'I had the Nightmare again. It’s the only time Palkeera lets me cry. She always tries to wake me early in the dream, but this time I woke to my own face wet with tears. At least I did not wake up screaming. It has been a while since I last did that.
My sleep has been restless lately and my Mentor knows it. I’ve been having trouble keeping my feet from dragging sluggishly as I go about my Temple chores. I fell asleep across the alter that I had been cleaning. Palkeera came looking for me after a couple hours, ready to scold, but instead found me as a crying mess. Crying into a Mahjarrat’s shoulder is fairly impossible since they are such tall creatures, Palkeera is well over 8’ tall, and since I am fairly short, the affect is more of me crying into her hip than anything else.
Palkeera cut my chores short and sent me back to her room to get some extra sleep. I wish she hadn’t. Now I’m sitting on my bed in her office reliving the echoes of my Nightmare. Palkeera can protect me with her magic and might when I’m awake, but she can never protect me in my dreams.'

Aww...how heartwarming. 
And I wonder exactly what the narrator (who I assume is Zarafinn) dreamed about. I don't mind lorefails, everyone who writes Runescape lore will need to...bend it a bit 'cause there are things in-game that just don't work well in another (in this case literary) medium.
So...I guess caffeine or the Runescape version of energy drinks doesn't exist in the Empire?
